Indonesia - Demographic and Health Survey 2012: Adolescent Reproductive Health

The primary objective of the Adolescent Reproductive Health component (ARH) of the 2012 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) is to provide policymakers and program managers with national- and provincial-level data on representative samples of never married women and men age 15-24. Specifically, the ARH component of the 2012 IDHS was designed to: • Measure the level of knowledge of adolescents concerning reproductive health issues • Examine the attitudes of adolescents on various reproductive health issues • Measure the level of tobacco use, alcohol consumption, and drug use among adolescents • Measure the level of sexual activity among adolescents • Explore adolescents’ awareness of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections
