Small Reservoirs Basemap Data
Basemap data include small reservoir centroid, volume and extent (processed shapefiles and raw Landsat imagery). Underlying data also include dam inventory, administrative boundaries, and Landsat imagery AOI. The base map provides a good overview of the development of small reservoirs in the Southern Province of Zambia. All small reservoirs within the extent of the province are mapped with the use of the latest cloud free Landsat-5 imagery – outside the local rain season.
